Purchasing is a values choice. When a company picks what to buy and who supplies it, it picks practices too: how workers and land are treated, how much pollution is created, and whether the source still works when conditions get rough. Strong sustainable purchasing managers know the lowest price often hides a cost someone else pays. Their job is to find the right source, not just the smallest number on a quote.
