Command and Control Center Officers

Overview

Command and Control Center Officers run high-tech operations rooms that connect aircraft, ships, and ground forces so they can work together safely and effectively. They monitor radar and surveillance screens, manage secure communication networks, and direct the use of computer-based weapons targeting and launch systems. They also design and test emergency plans for natural disasters or attacks, coordinate response teams from different military branches and government agencies, and brief top leaders on what is happening so fast, accurate decisions can be made.
