Australians eat out, travel and celebrate more every year, so the industry always needs people who can cook, host, organise and lead.

A pathway for everyone
Start with a casual job, a short course or an RSA, do a TAFE certificate, or study hotel or event management at university, whatever suits how you learn.

Entry requirements

Typical ATAR range: Not required for most courses; 55.00 – 80.00 for degree pathways
Prerequisites: A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate for bar and venue roles; a food safety certificate for kitchen roles.
Pathways: On-the-job work, VET qualifications, university/TAFE degrees, or traineeships.
Duration: Days to years, depending on the chosen pathway.
